The nice thing is that it includes trial versions of graphics design and web site editing applications, such as Dreamweaver.

cover HTML 4 for the World Wide Web: Visual...- by Elizabeth Castro, a great author from the San Francisco Bay Area. Easy and brief descriptions, aided by pictures of where the code goes and how it looks, makes this book a great tutorial on HTML even for more advanced webmasters.

- written by Robert Stanley, a self-taught artist. Photoshop is a powerful application for designing most all of the graphics you'll need for your website. However, it can be intimidating. This book focuses on the fundamentals that beginner's will need to get started easily.
